成立於臺灣臺北市，不彈藍調，不是特別憂鬱，也不笨。從若干九零年代「另類」樂團汲取養分；以現代都會煩惱為題材，創造屬於當代的台北新聲；不致力於打破框架、撕下標籤，但偶爾還是不小心把框架撞歪，在這多雨的城市浸潤久了，標籤也難免濕潤模糊。

Finn，黃士勛，學生時期讀電影和戲劇，身體裡裝的是二十世紀末的華語流行金曲。曾以《我小時候是嬉皮》（2009）及《勉強的愛》（2021）兩張個人創作專輯，入圍國內外音樂獎項。熱愛山林與健行，能走很長的路，目前為舞台劇演員。

搖滾，沒有成見；風格與品味兼具的獨立樂團！ 

1976，因為最初的團員都出生於1976年。 

青春期的搖滾夢想持續至今,，在創作中依舊。 揮灑著青春氣息，裹著英倫八零年代新浪潮與後龐克音樂的外衣，唱著迷霧般的城市。哀愁，如詩的搖滾創作，分離憤怒與頹廢，瀟灑又如此的不肯自拔。樂團自成立迄，共發行六張專輯與EP，經歷團員更替，1976曾經停下腳步，卻沒有停下創作；堅持著他們的步調近15個年頭，終於在2010拿下金曲獎最佳樂團獎 。

Formed in the subtropical basin of Taipei, Blueburn draws inspirations from millennial Pop Rock and Alternative Rock. At once cynic and naive, they break the mold without ever intend to.

Finn studied film and drama and immersed himself in late 20th-century pop music. His two albums, I Was a Hippie Child (2009) and Grudging Love (2021) has received domestic and foreign music awards nominations. Finn loves the mountains and enjoys long-distance hiking. He is a theater actor now.

As one of the most successful indie bands of Taiwan, listening to the music of 1976 is just like taking an in-depth tour to experience the evolution of Mandarin Rock Music since the ‘90's. 

1976 was highly influenced by the ‘80's UK post-punk and new wave music, like The Smiths, New Order and The Cure etc. 

They released their debut album in 1999. And soon released the second album "Sense of Direction" in 2000. The single "Sense of Direction" became an important hit in Taiwan indie scene. 1976 has created unique sound with dazzling and psychedelic atmosphere. After the fourth album "Still the New Wave Flow" in Beijing, 1976 hit the road to embark on their first tour in Japan, from Nagoya to Koufu and Tokyo in 2006.

2009 was a magnificent year to 1976; they were invited to be part of the OASIS’s tour in Taiwan. In the meantime, their latest album “Manic Pixie Dream Girl” led them to the nomination of the 21st Golden Melody Awards in Taiwan. The next year, 1976 won the best band of Golden Melody Awards.
