Going, going. To widen the distance between point A and point B means walking away, being separated, and experiencing homesickness, accompanied by the memories of landscapes filled with strange sounds. Family footprints are left during their migration and the constant search for a place to stay. Going, going. It is an adventure, an encounter, a starting over, and the courage to unite and defend one’s homeland. Going, Going to the Movies introduces films with diverse themes such as family, gender, performance art, land justice, and the environment. Welcome to this film encounter. Going, going.

躺在草地上的藏人少女拾起身旁早已死去的蜻蜓,注視它眼眸的剎那,少女回憶起和祖母相處的童年時光。蜻蜓和濕黏的季風季節,讓想念的情緒不斷蔓延。本片以童趣的畫風和鮮明的色彩描繪主角、蜻蜓、祖母的關係,蘊藏綿延的思念與成長的心境變化。

A young Tibetan girl picks up a dead dragonfly and looks into its eyes. Suddenly, she’s transported back into her childhood with her grandmother. This film consists of a childlike painting style and vibrant colors, interpreting the relationship between the dragonfly, the protagonist and her grandmother.

多可・安格珊 Dolker ANGOTSANG
旅居瑞士的藏族插畫、動畫師。靈感多源於平凡事物。
An experienced animator and illustrator of Tibetan origin based in Switzerland.

李汶霏 LI Man-Fei
來自香港,目前就讀瑞士盧塞恩應用科技與藝術大學電影研究碩士。
Born in Hong Kong, graduated from HSLU, LI  currently pursues her MA film studies degree, specializing in Animation at HSLU.

皮曼娃・波利 Pimonwan POLI 
擅長繪製童趣風格的插畫以及動畫場景設計。
Graduated from HSLU, POLI is skilled in designing childlike illustrations and animation background scenes.

充斥資本主義的冷漠城市中,人類母親蘿絲意外生下了一隻貓兒子。蘿絲努力試著愛他,竭盡全力改變他,即便這等同於改變他的本性。結果,這過程使之回想起一段被遺忘的過往。故事啟發自導演的親身經驗,透過動畫述說母職育兒的心境與掙扎。
In a city under capitalism, Rose unexpectedly gives birth to a cat son. She struggles to love him and tries her best to change him, even if it means changing his true nature. However, it accidentally reminds her something about herself that she had forgotten a long time ago. 

傅詠欣 Lilian Wing-Yan FU
來自香港,於2013年取得英國國家電影及電視學院動畫導演碩士學位,而後十年皆在英國從事動畫產製相關工作。近年成為母親後將重心轉往育兒,藉由身分轉換及照護過程累積創作養分。
Born in Hong Kong, FU received her MA in animation directing  from NFTS and has more than 10 years of animating experience in the UK. After becoming a mother, she focuses more on her child and finds the momentum of creativity in it.

切米爾是一名具有實力、富有野心的女拳擊手。好不容易如願進入冠軍賽,比賽前夕卻遇上突如其來的請求,陷入要選擇內心的直覺還是妥協於對方的請託的掙扎。本片透過女拳擊手的視角細膩描繪同儕關係、曖昧情愫和自我追求之間的糾結拉扯,我們該完成他人的心願,抑或跟隨自己的心?
Cemile is a powerful and ambitious female boxer. When she finally made herself into the finals as she wished, a sudden request happened on the eve before the match, making her unsure whether to choose her instinct or to plead the request.

貝爾基斯・拜拉克 Belkıs BAYRAK
土耳其導演,畢業於伊斯坦堡布爾比爾基大學電視電影系碩士,畢業後成立影像工作室「Saba Film」,並完成短片作品《切米爾》。目前正在籌備製作首部劇情長片。
Born in Turkey, BAYRAK established her own production company Saba Film after graduation. Currently, she is preparing her first feature film.

苗仔從樹梢間醒來,月光將影子拉長,隨著引領攀梯而下,他開始了在島上的探險。奇妙生物接二連三出現,萬物皆有序,天地為一體,苗仔找尋著與影子共存的方式。定格動畫訴說詩意寓言,在毛絨包覆的奇幻國度,共赴一段溫柔卻殘酷的生命之旅。
Seed who can't get under the sun and the shadow who needs light to exist, they are the meaning of life for each other. Seed and the shadow go on a journey in this strange world to find a way of living with each other.

余聿 YU Yu
畢業於南加州大學動畫學系研究所,畢製《雛菊》獲得學生奧斯卡銀獎,於2019年成立踩影子停格動畫工作室,擔任導演、負責人。近期作品《島影》,榮獲金穗獎最佳動畫、高雄電影節金火球大獎等。 
Graduated from the University of Southern California with an MFA in Animation, YU founded Shadow Step Studio in 2019 to continue making more stop motion commercial and personal projects.

中國透過「一帶一路」的經貿戰略,斥資36億美元在緬甸伊洛瓦底江興建密松大壩,為中國資助緬甸的諸多能源和採礦項目中規模最大的一項建設,然而大壩所橫跨的伊洛瓦底江,卻是緬甸的生命線與文明的搖籃,對當地——尤其是緬北少數族裔聚居的克欽邦——將造成難以彌補的環境與文化傷害、迫使上萬村民離開家園。當地居民在豐富的天然資源、軍政府的外交與商業戰略、跨國集團利益之間進退兩難;為了守護孕育緬甸百族文明的神聖河流,一群女性原民社運者、地下龐克音樂家及牧師,聯合起來,成為最後一道防線,抵抗中緬邊界的經濟與武裝控制,他們舉起自己最熟悉的武器挺身而出:抗爭、禱告、卡拉OK。
Above and Below the Ground tells the story of brave indigenous women activists and punk rock pastors coming together to protect the sacred Irrawaddy river from a Chinese-built mega dam. In the war-torn Northern Myanmar, these activists and musicians form the last line of defense for communities caught between coveted natural resources, military cronies, and profit-hungry multinationals, fighting back with their best weapons: protest, prayer, and Karaoke music videos.

洪艾蜜莉 Emily HONG
首爾出生,紐約成長的視覺人類學者、導演。在緬、泰耕耘數年,作品結合女性主義、民族誌方法、個人的跨文化移民經驗與殖民歷史觀察,以具社會影響力的敘事見長。同時也是女性創作集體「Ethnocine」和「Rhiza Collectives」的創始人之一,以及亞裔美人紀錄片平台(Asian American Documentary Network)的核心成員。 
Seoul-born and New York-raised visual anthropologist and filmmaker with a decade of experience in Myanmar and Thailand. Her work combines feminist, decolonial and ethnographic approaches with impact-oriented storytelling. She is a co-founder of Ethnocine and Rhiza Collectives.

濟州島上森林深處的乾枯河床住著一位神秘的少年,他是宇賓不為人知的好朋友,炎熱夏日裡清幽的河畔地帶成為兩位少年玩耍的秘密基地。然而隨著濟州島上的建設急遽增加,蓊鬱森林終究抵擋不了開發的腳步,眼看水泥公路就要入侵森林,河畔少年即將流離失所,宇賓焦急地幫好朋友尋求留在森林裡的方法⋯⋯。
In the depth of a dry valley, there are two boys named Yu-bin and Geon, who are each other’s special friends. The dry stream serves as the best hideout and playground for them, but nobody seems to understand. However, with the rapid increase of construction, the forest is gradually disappearing.

姜志曉 KANG Jihyo
1998年出生的韓國籍導演,其短片作品《Interpreting Hyun-ju》曾入圍夏威夷國際電影節、首爾獨立影展等,並獲得日本愛知國際女性影展首獎。
Born in 1998, KANG majored in film studies in college. Her film Interpreting Hyun-ju won the Grand Prize at Aichi Int’l Women’s Film Festival and was screened in several festivals including the Hawaii IFFand the Seoul Independent FF.

行走是人類的本能,而走路對每個人的意義各不相同。有些人喜歡自己走、有些人喜歡跟朋友一起走、有些人在走路時找尋靈感,而有些人則為了表達理念而走。當走路不只是走路,這項活動還能有什麼可能性?一起來看看紀錄片中的三組新加坡女性,如何走出自己的路。
While homemakers carve out time to walk for friendship, an individual walks in order to hear herself. Yet another woman walks to extend her art practice and to be seen and heard. The women in Walk Walk create "space" for themselves and others as they walk.

陳彬彬 TAN Pin Pin
新加坡重要的紀錄片導演。視角經常聚焦在新加坡的文化與歷史,以《新加坡風》、《備忘錄》、《星國戀》等作品聞名,曾於柏林影展、釜山影展等多個國際影展放映,並獲得眾多國際獎項。
A Singapore-based director known for To Singapore, With Love. Her works have been screened at the Berlinale, the BIFF and the TIDF. Also a frequent mentor and jury member at the Yamagata Documentary Dojo and AsiaDoc.

桃園虎頭山下有許多「街頭理容攤」,由一群45至75歲不同年齡段的女性在經營,大多服務中高齡及勞動市民,因而形成老派、傳統且粗獷的庶民生活型態。這些攤位只有編號沒有名字,攤位間僅隔著紗網,人性與人際關係幽微地流動著⋯⋯
There are many "street barber stalls" under Hutoushan. Most of these stalls serve senior citizens and working people, and have become a traditional part of ordinary people's lives. The stall holder and the customer are separated by mesh nets, while friendships and a feeling of warmth and humanity flow between them.

林宇嬋 LIN Yu-Chan
台灣藝術大學視覺傳達設計系畢業。於影視產業擔任導演組工作,透過紀錄片梳理創作意圖與生命經驗的連結。 
Graduated from the Department of Visual Communication Design at NTUA, LIN has used her experiences making documentaries to create films, which link her creative inspiration with her life experiences.
